Keten tohumu yağı (linseed oil), CAS numarası 8001-26-1 olan, keten bitkisinin tohumlarından soğuk presleme yöntemiyle elde edilen doğal bir yağdır. Başlıca endüstriyel kullanım alanı boya, vernik ve mürekkep üretimidir. Kuruyan yağ özelliği sayesinde yüzey kaplamalarında mükemmel bir bağlayıcı görevi görür. Ayrıca linolyum, muşamba ve bazı biyoplastiklerin üretiminde de kullanılır. Yüksek oranda omega-3 yağ asitleri içerir ve ahşap koruyucu olarak da tercih edilir.

Linseed oil, with CAS number 8001-26-1, is a natural oil extracted from flax seeds through cold pressing. Its primary industrial use is in the production of paints, varnishes, and inks. As a drying oil, it acts as an excellent binder in surface coatings. It is also used in the manufacture of linoleum, floor coverings, and certain bioplastics. Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, it is also preferred as a wood preservative and in the production of putty and sealants.
