E927a (Azodicarbonamide), CAS number 123-77-3, is a widely used chemical foaming agent in the plastics and rubber industries. When added to polymers, it decomposes upon heating to release gas bubbles, creating lightweight and porous structures. It is especially preferred in the production of PVC, polyethylene, and EVA foams. Also utilized as a food additive, it functions as a flour treatment agent.
